Mango with Sticky Rice

Many students want to know how to make sticky rice….our recipe is for 4 serving sizes.

We can eat sticky 2 ways 1.as meal 2.as dessert

It starts the same which is you can soak (1cup)sticky rice into cold water for at least 3 hours.

Then,you will rising it and clean the rice thru water for 2-3 times until water is clear.

During you washing the rice, you can prepare boiling the water in the steamer!

Any kind of steamer you can find in your home. Put water for steaming enough for 20-30minutes even we cook only 15 minutes.

I just don’t want to burn any kitchen! Then, you will use medium heat (you can wait until water is boiling or not boil). Then put the rice to white cloth wrap it in the cloth and you put it in the steamer. Cover it and leave it to cook for 15 minutes.

You will need to Check it after 15 minutes by tasting it. It should be cooked or cook it another 5minutes. Finally, you will get Sticker rice for Meal.

You can eat it withe Papaya Salad(Som Tam), BBQ Chicken, Larb…

If you want to make it for dessert, you will leave it in the steamer to keep it hot. Then, you will need to heat up coconut milk 150-200ml. and 1/2 cup fo sugar and 1 teaspoon fo salt until almost boil.

Then, you will need to put it together and you will mix it together (do it fast, we need to keep the heat for steam the rice and level of milk is just cover the rice). Cover it with flat plate for 20 minutes let the coconut milk absord to the rice.
