I had many requests for seafood dipping sauce. For foreigner who live in Thailand long enough. They would have chance to try grilled seafood. Usual for westerner will dip with melted butter. Once you are in Phuket, Thailand you will see 2-3 types of dipping on buffet table. However, there is a certain type of seafood that Thai actually common for Thai. The color is green like fresh chili blended together. The taste is spicy and sour.
Yes, that is really sauce we’ve been eating. In Phuket cooking cuisine, we dip steamed crab, grilled prawn and fish with this seafood sauce.
Let see what ingredient we need:
Green Thai Chili (spicy) 5-6, Garlic 3-4 cloves, Sugar 2 Tablespoons, Lime Juice 2 Tablespoons, Salt a pinch, Water 1-2 Tablespoons
Start : mix Sugar+Salt+Water(dissolve it well) ,add Lime juice in, Garlic and Chili (Smash it first!). Mix them together like picture below.
